Necropolis Visit

Our visit to Glasgow Necropolis on May 17th, attracted 46 members who  made their way over the Bridge of Sighs into the grounds in two groups led by Nigel Willis, vice-chair, and Ruth Johnston, chairperson of the Friends of the Glasgow Necropolis.

For any member who didn’t manage the tour and is interested in visiting on their own, it is highly recommended.  Friends of the Necropolis also organise guided tours on certain days and information can be found on their website on the External link below.

All donations to the Friends goes directly to their restoration work, which is currently the elaborately carved Monteath Mausoleum.

More details of our visit and a picture can be found on the Visits section of this website.
